A Black Tie Wedding In Ohio

To see young love blossom into a marriage is something quite special. This is how it began for Gena and Chris. In 2004, they met in high school and became high school sweethearts and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

The Proposal:

After asking Gena’s father for her hand in marriage, Chris was ready to propose. He chose the intimacy of their home, as the perfect location. While Gena was preparing dinner, Chris, along with their 4yr old son (now 6), got down on one knee and “popped the big question.” Without hesitation, she said yes.

Wedding Style: Gena wore an ivory fit-and-flare gown with a sweetheart neckline. Her favorite accessory was the hanging chandelier style bracelet, from Aldo's Accessories, that graced her wrist.

Incorporation of Culture: To remember the past and honor their heritage, Gena and Chris jumped the broom after saying "I Do".

Most Memorable Moment: Gena says that the entire reception was memorable. The location of the venue, the amazing decor, and the good food made it all memorable, she says.

Help A Bride-To-Be Out: It's always good to seek pre-marital counseling. Communication is key.
