How did you meet? Our love initially sparked through a brief introduction at work fast forward a few months and after a few flirty exchanges over Instagram our love story began. Three years and a few passport stamps later here we are preparing to exchange our vows.
Tell us about the proposal. Symone: "Our special day took place right in front of the lake at the bottom of Stone Mountain. He intimately shared how God confirmed our love for one another! I’ll never forget how he shared that he knew I was the 'one' when he saw me fix a plate and noticed that we both hate when our food to touches. So of course I said yes to being his picky-eater partner in life, and unbeknownst to me he had gathered all of our friends and family to celebrate our engagement inside the country club where he had proposed."
Jerome: "I had been planning it for about 2 months looking for the perfect time. My family was coming in town from Chicago and California, and her family wanted to come support her so everyone was here in one place. Everyone being there helped keep me calm and get through the process. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain and I quickly grew disappointed thinking things weren’t going to go as planned. Thankfully right before she arrived it finally cleared up for about 10 mins which gave me enough time to start the proposal. As Symone pulled up a bright smile came to my face knowing the time had come. I approached her, embraced her in my arms, and started sharing my feelings, next thing we know the ring is on her finger and we are a newly engaged couple!"
What was the theme of your engagement shoot? Old Hollywood! One of the things that brings us together is watching dated movies or series that are set in the time of old glam and luxury.
For every big smile in our pictures you can bet that there were some flirty whispers in the other's ear to blame. We weren’t focusing on posing, we just had fun so the shoot in itself was a memorable moment we won’t forget!
How has wedding planning been so far? We’re planning with Emore Campbell and we love her because not only is she efficient and beyond professional she helps make sure we get to enjoy this journey and not stress on this journey!
What are you most looking forward to about your wedding? Being surrounded by our closest friends and families, we have loved ones spread out all over the country between South Carolina, Chicago, California and more, sharing our vows with each is one thing but doing so with the very people that showed us what love really looks like is a moment we can’t wait to experience!
