This Victorian-themed style shoot was inspired by the beauty of ‘Timeless Love’. Timeless love is a love that has no beginning or end. It transcends time by not being restricted to any one particular era. It is eternal in its beauty. To illustrate this, we went on a pictorial journey to showcase the extravagance and opulence of the Victorian era, mixed with the clean elegance of the modern era.

In the 19th century, a Victorian wedding was known for its class and grace. It is romantic in its nature with lots of lace and sweet-smelling rosebuds. This styled shoot was created with the modern bride in mind. A bride who is brave enough to take risks, and isn’t restricted by time or era. We want her to indulge in the nostalgia of grand romantic gestures.

The botanical garden setting is the perfect setting to complement our bride, who is draped in the perfect combination of two different styles. One with a delicate floral ivory antique lace by Hayley Paige and a fitted all lace mermaid dress with lovely shoulder details.

We set the scene with soft color palettes utilizing pinks & greens mixed with rich bold jewel tones of blue & gold, allowing the bride to be transported to a different time.

For the decor, we started by laying our tables with clean white linens and beautiful gold battenburg lace overlay. The flowers were a focal point and we wanted them to tell a story. To achieve this, we went with florals that are in themselves timeless in their beauty, florals that evoke romantic emotions. Sprawling greens like ferns accented with pink roses, pink astilbe, and blue delphinium flowers spread along with the tables, illuminated with blue taper candles. Modern scalloped shaped plates with gold rims, sparkling crystal glassware, blue knotted napkins, and two-toned brass gold and blue flatware completed this look.

The transition between the extravagance of the lush flowers and the clean lines of the table setting was a perfect illustration of ‘Timeless Love’. We can never get tired of love in its entirety, of love in its purest form. Regardless of the era or time, the modern bride will always find something to love about this shoot.
