"Coming to America" Inspired Industrial Chic Styled Shoot by Oniee's Engagements -Munaluchi Bride

“This was such a fun project that allowed all of us to showcase our creativity and our talent. The Theme is Industrial Elegance infused with “Coming to America” inspired elements. We incorporated some of the gold and shades of pink from the movie in the the tabletop design with the linens, tableware, and flowers. We used flowers like cymbidium orchids and tulips that are also prevalent in the movie. For texture, we used blush and white feathers, and matte sequin, satin and crinkle linens. The hanging floral shelf with a floral feather runner gave that dramatic sense of elegance to the shoot and really captured the unique industrial qualities of the venue and the theme of the shoot. Votives of varying heights and textures, a white feather runner, and tall lush floral centerpieces embodied the industrial elegance motif on the tabletop design.
The beautiful venue for the shoot has slate industrial architecture that really allowed us to incorporate the industrial elegance theme. There are two wedding scenes in the movie-one in which Eddie Murphy’s character is preparing to marry a woman based on an arranged marriage, and another where he is actually able to marry the love of his life. Our beautiful model wore her hair similar to the first bride in the movie, and the stationery includes names from the main characters in the movie. Our makeup artist did a wonderful job of creating a rich and warm bridal look perfect for a brown bride. The headpiece adds just the touch of dramatic royalty we needed to bring the entire look together.”
