Sometimes love finds you when you least expect it.
It was the day before Valentine’s Day, and love was in the air. Tilea was getting ready for an evening of worship and reflection during her collegiate Bible study, when she looked across the room and locked eyes with Daiquaun. Call it divine fate, but Daiquaun knew Tilea was the one. Tilea still does not know how Daiquaun got her number, but the next day he decided to “shoot his shot.” He sent her a text message wishing her a “Happy Valentine’s Day.” A year later, they were engaged.

How They Met
Well, let us just start by saying we have two different dates of when we actually first met…Call it amnesia or call it fate, but we know it was God’s perfect timing.
Quaun and I first locked eyes on each other at a collegiate bible study on February 13th 2018. We chatted for a bit, nothing too special. It was all very friendly. However, the very next day, he texted me “Happy Valentines Day.” At this point, I was wondering how he got my number. After our next choir practice and bible study, I got another text asking if I’d like to grab a bite to eat. I didn’t know he was my prince at the time, but this is where the enchantment started!
Looking Forward to the Wedding
From Tilea, “What I’m excited about most is the union I’m creating with another person under Gods eyes, along with family and friends. Someone who will become one with me, and share in the ups and downs, the joys and sadness, and day to day life. I can’t wait to be joined with him. Looking forward to all the excitements of a married couple: vacations, building a home, children…our journey.”
