Bria and Todd’s celebrated their engagement with a beautiful outdoor e-session at Newfields in Indianapolis!

Bria and Todd first met in high school, but as time went on, they formed a deeper bond and ultimately a loving relationship. Todd took Bria by surprise by proposing at a restaurant during Bria and her friends’ Secret Santa exchange.

They are looking forward to saying ‘I do’ in 2022!

I’m looking forward to celebrating our love with family and friends and finally being able to call her Mrs. Thompson.

How did you meet?

High school through a mutual friend.

Tell us your proposal story

Todd: I had her friends arrange a Secret Santa gift exchange for them at a restaurant. While they were at the bar getting drinks I snuck into a private room with a bouquet of flowers. Once I was in position, her sister led her to me through a wooden sliding door and I proposed. Our family and friends then came in and we had a private dinner to celebrate.

When did you know they were the one?

Bria: I knew he was the one when I couldn’t go a day without wanting to hear his voice and feel his touch.

Todd: I knew she was the one when I compared every woman I even thought about dating to her. We were just friends at the time but she was the standard in my eyes.

Describe your engagement session

Our engagement session was such a fun time. We met at Newfields and Rae made us feel like professionals. (We are not the best photo takers) The park is beautiful and dressing up was a lot of fun. We were able to express ourselves through our wardrobe.

What did you do on your first date?

We went to Cooper’s Hawk for wine tasting and then Cheesecake Factory for dinner.

What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?

We love to have a great meal and watch movies. We also enjoy supporting one another’s businesses.

How has wedding planning been so far?

Great! Our wedding planner is super helpful and I (the bride) have a niche for planning as well so planning the biggest party of our lives has been fun.
