The Grammy red carpet on Sunday was the perfect pre-cursor to NYC Bridal Fashion week with its joyful, gorgeous wedding day-inspired gowns.
There were Disney princess-style ball gowns and sleek form-fitting dresses which seemed as if they were more suited to the Oscars one week ago instead of the Grammy’s where viewers expect sartorial shock and awe frocks. With high-watt shades of Millennial and Barbie pink it truly was the color story of the night.
Carrie Underwood’s custom Dolce & Gabbana ballgown featured a bustier embellished with Swarovski crystals, an ombre effect silk organza drape skirt. Crissey Teigen brightened up the red carpet in a taffeta mega-gown by Nicole+Felicia, while singer/songwriter Allison Russell wore sheer romantic opera gloves to compliment her show stopping floral Del Core gown and train. Rounding out our list is Grammy host, Trevor Noah, who showed up and showed out wearing his fly pink Gucci dinner jacket (the perfect inspiration for all of our grooms who want to be on trend for their wedding!).
