This Black is Beautiful styled shoot celebrates Black love and showcases talented Black wedding professionals from the Toronto area!
With a lack of representation seen in Toronto, Co-founders Niyoka McIntosh and Lynkahn Sutton of Chic Noir Toronto, along with other vendors, wanted to elegantly showcase the beauty of a Black couple, Black love, and Black wedding professionals.
These images can be difficult to find in our city and we wanted to elegantly portray the value of these three things in a styled shoot.
Chic Noir Toronto
The vendor team was specially curated to inspire brides and grooms through chic, high-quality products and decor. The moody color palette composed of deep colors and earth tones was designed to compliment the richness of Black skin and the aesthetic of their chosen venue.
The deep tones, along with the dark wood of the venue, created a sophisticated and romantic atmosphere, perfect for inspiring an elegant, upscale wedding celebration. In addition, the unique, eye-catching florals complimented the elegance of the bridal gown and baroque-influenced groom’s attire.
This gorgeous styled shoot came in preparation for Chic Noir’s first luxury bridal experience for Black couples in Toronto, happening on January 20th, 2024, at the Park Hyatt Toronto Hotel in Yorkville. Click here for more details on their upcoming event!

The vision was inspired by the saying ‘Black is Beautiful.’ We chose to go with a moody color palette using deep colors and earth tones that can be associated with the richness of Black skin.
