To celebrate their union in a fresh, new way, Jessica and Jeremy had a ‘Day After’ wedding photo shoot featuring a stylish vintage Porsche, highlighting an incoming trend engaged couples are sure to incorporate in their own wedding celebrations!
It wasn’t until the third time that Jessica and Jeremy had met during a group outing that they began to feel an undeniable connection. That day, it was as if there was magic in the air. The weather was unusually perfect, and everyone was in high spirits. Jessica’s attention gravitated towards Jeremy, and she began to see him in a new light.
His easy smile and the way he carried himself—open, unguarded, and ready to enjoy the day—immediately put me at ease…By the time the sun set, I could already feel that something was growing between us.

From that point forward, an effortless love grew between them as they continued to explore their shared passions and build a life together.
Shortly after Jessica and Jeremy’s wedding, they teamed up with Christa of Christa Taylor Photography for this swoon-worthy, ultra-romantic ‘Day After’ photo session. Jessica and Jeremy glowed with blissful love during the shoot, showcasing their whirlwind romance and honeymoon mood.
Having a shoot the day after their wedding gave them more freedom and a renewed energy, with no time restraints or worries, allowing them to focus on what their wedding was all about: them. Additionally, Jeremy had always dreamed of having a shoot with his vintage Porsche, and this shoot carved out the perfect time and moment to finally do it.
It was like seeing ourselves in a new light, and I loved every second of it. The whole shoot was about just the two of us, without the bridal party or anyone else, and it was peaceful. We got to truly enjoy each other in that moment.

Incorporating their shared value of supporting Black businesses, Jessica and Jeremy sourced the bulk of their vendors, including the hair and makeup artist, the groom’s custom suiting, and bridal styling, all from Black-owned and operated businesses from the West Coast.

They leaned against the Porsche, laughter spilling between them as they reminisced about their whirlwind romance—dancing in the kitchen, spontaneous road trips, and stolen kisses under the stars. With each shared memory, their bond deepened, woven tighter by the threads of love and laughter.
“Can you believe it’s finally real?” Jessica asked, her eyes reflecting the colors of the sunset.
“It feels like a dream,” Jeremy replied, pulling her closer. “But I wouldn’t want to wake up from it. You light up my life.”
Jessica smiled, her eyes aglow. “And I can’t believe someone like you actually exists.”As twilight settled in, they stood together, their fingers intertwined. The world around them faded, leaving only the two of them, wrapped in the warmth of their love and the promise of the future.

Jessica and Jeremy had been married a matter of weeks when we came together to put their “day-after” photo session together. Now husband and wife, we wanted to tell the story of the beginning of their honeymoon. This romantic vignette gives brides the opportunity to see what they can do with a photo session after the wedding, particularly if they have inclement weather or need additional portrait time.

How we met…
Before becoming a Human Resources Director at a global footwear company, I was born in London, with my family originally from Ghana, Africa. I have experienced so much living on four different continents, Europe, Africa, Asia, and finally settling in North America. Jeremy was raised in King City, California, where his German family put their roots, also a world traveler, before moving to Oregon to invest in his passion as a school teacher.
It was the third time we met before I felt any sparks. Jeremy and I had crossed paths twice before, once in May 2022, when I barely noticed him with his shoulder-length pandemic hair, and again in June at a local bar, Lulu, where our mutual friends had invited us both to an event. But nothing clicked until October of that same year, at a brewfest in Hood River, Oregon.
That day…
The weather was perfect, strangely so for an October day in Oregon. Not a cloud in the sky, the sun shining down, and an unusually warm 70 degrees. We both woke up feeling great, as if the day was destined for something special. Our friends had invited us again, not expecting much more than a fun afternoon, but it turned into something unexpected. That’s when I saw Jeremy in a new light.
His easy smile and the way he carried himself—open, unguarded, and ready to enjoy the day—immediately put me at ease. We spent hours talking about everything from our love for music and dance to travel and culture. It was clear we had so much in common. By the time the sun set, I could already feel that something was growing between us.
From that day on, we continued to explore our shared passions and values. It felt easy, effortless, like we’d been friends forever.

The ‘Day After’ shoot…
The day after our wedding was magical. There was something so perfect about it—an extension of the joy we had experienced the day before, but without the rush of the ceremony or the pressure of timing. Having that extra time for our photo shoot meant we could actually savor the experience and wear our beautiful wedding attire without any sense of urgency. I could wear the runner-up accessories I didn’t get a chance to on the big day, and soak it up in a new way.
The shoot had a different flair from our wedding day. We had the opportunity to experience another photographer and see ourselves differently with a different style of photography. It was like seeing ourselves in a new light, and I loved every second of it. The whole shoot was about just the two of us, without the bridal party or anyone else, and it was peaceful. We got to truly enjoy each other in that moment.
One of the highlights for me was the chance to take pictures with a vintage car, something Jeremy had always dreamed of doing with his own. We hadn’t been able to pull it off on our wedding day due to the tight timeline, but now, we had all the time we needed. And we took risks we hadn’t taken before—with some photos of us running, in the field with the wind blowing, using different kinds of props, and just being ourselves. It felt free, creative, and fun, and allowed us to fully get everything we wanted from our collective dream for our wedding photos.

Hopes for the future…
As a married couple, our hopes are simple, but profound. We want to continue growing in love and faith, listening to each other, communicating, and always showing respect. We aim to build a life full of deep joy, centered on values that bind us together, and to help those around us, especially those less fortunate, whenever we can.
Also, we dream of starting a family, nurturing our children’s talents and dreams, and supporting each other through every challenge life brings. We want to never stop learning, never stop caring about each other, the world, and our place in it. It’s about making our families proud, being there for our friends, and striving to become the best, most authentic versions of ourselves. We want to build wealth and stability in a way that’s honest, honorable, and inspires others to do the same.
And above all, we never want to stop having fun together. We find each other to be the most fun people to be around, and that’s something we cherish. We’re best friends at the core, and I know that’s the foundation we’ll keep building on for the rest of our lives.
