Sometimes you don’t need a special occasion like a wedding or engagement or special event to hire a photographer and get some gorgeous photos taken. Nikita and Trent have been happily married since 2012 and wanted a session to simply celebrate their love. They chose to hire photographer Daesha Marie and had the session in Clarksdale where they are from. We adore these gorgeous photos and can feel the energy and love they have for one another.

How they met and the proposal:
It all started nearly eleven years ago in 10th grade biology class. We sat side by side in class, and every day I rushed there just to see her. I had been praying for a Christian girl who I could be in a relationship with, love, and grow stronger in my walk with Christ.
One Friday I received a phone call from Nikita telling me I left my math folder in class. It was all lies! The truth was she had stolen my folder just to call me. When I told her I knew she had taken my notebook, she was so ashamed; it was sweet to me. I could not stop smiling because I knew she felt the same way about me. Our talking in class led to a great friendship. Not too long after, we began dating. The rest is history.
On December 15, 2011, I proposed to her. We married the following year on that very date. I have loved her since I was 15. I am currently 26 years old and the love is even stronger. Every day that I get to watch her grow older is a blessing. I want to make sure that with every day to come, she knows the intensity of my love and the value she holds in my heart.
Inspiration for the shoot:
I never leave disappointed when granted an opportunity to photograph in the Mississippi Delta. So when my fellow photographer friend, Trent reached out for a session for him and his wife, Nikita, to have keepsakes I couldn’t have been more excited. As a wedding photographer and wife, I know the importance of having a day where your utterly in love all over again having a session with your significant other. I’m so grateful for the opportunity I had to document these two souls in the Mississippi delta. We met at Soldier’s Park where we were met by mosquitos and the hot heat, but it didn’t stop us. We frolicked around and I was able to capture the love between them and after 3 1/2 years of marriage, they haven’t lost one spark for one another. Their session turned out to be one of my absolute favorites.” – Daesha Marie
