It’s about the glittery lip color for Fall, according to Christian Dior! For Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2013 Couture Collection, the beauty trend was glittery lips and complimentary muted eyes as seen on model Joan Smalls.
Dior left the dramatic flair for womenswear design. Creative Director Raf Simons sums up Dior’s new couture collection to Vogue: “I think it’s time to free couture. It annoys me that couture is thought of as the circus clown of fashion.” “What interests me is to get down to a more psychological level. To think about individuality, and the cultures women live in.”

Diversity was also presented at Dior Fall 2013 runway show. Six Black models (Joan Smalls, Alek Wek, Maria Borges, Grace Mahary, Yasmin Warsame and Kelly Moreira ) walked down the runway – the first in six seasons.
