The collection also features a beautiful custom Wiederhoeft music box, designed in collaboration with skilled artisans in Istanbul.

This collection felt special, huge, and very real. For me, it was all about synthesizing all the collections we’ve done since the brand launched into something that really balances the line between the real world and fantasy, with pieces that lean in both directions, or one or the other. I want to craft ideas of who the Wiederhoeft celebrant can be, what pieces they are wearing the day and night of the wedding. The ceremony, reception, afterparty, pajama party – it’s more than simply a fantasy.

Although the collection breaks tradition, it has classic elements, making it unabashedly romantic. Each piece of the collection expresses a unique theatricality and timelessness all of its own.

It’s meant to inspire and be worn in ways that are theatrical and performative. The bridal collections have provided a real-world context for the garments to inhabit. They are theatrical but in a way that supports and inspires what is one of the most important days of someone’s life.

With Covid affecting so many aspects of life, weddings included, finding the silver linings and holding on to hope has been incredibly important. This collection was partially inspired by the hope and joy Jackson Wiederhoeft has towards the future.

This collection roots itself in the hope I have for the future and my feeling that weddings and joy are coming back in a huge way. Once we can put the bulk of covid behind us, it’s really up to each of us to muster the confidence and spirit that will lift us higher.
