Our partners at BlackandMarriedwithKids, Lamar and Ronnie Tyler, are pioneers in the use of new media to promote positive images of marriage and parenting in the Black community. Since their amazing success, they have produced and directed two documentaries on marriage through their company (Tyler New Media), Happily Ever After: A Postive Image of Black Marriage and You Saved Me, which have received rave reviews and become bestsellers on Amazon.
Now, the Tylers are screening their third marriage documentary, Still Standing. The synopsis reads:
“A diverse group of couples provide transparent, insightful conversation about what it takes to have lasting power in current day marriages. Through infidelity, chronic illness, financial crisis, blended families and more these couples explain WHY and more importantly HOW they are STILL STANDING.”
The film features interviews with Kindred the Family Soul, Speech of Arrested Development, Yolanda Thomas and Dr. Sherry L. Blake. It is a must-watch. This is the type of positivity that the world needs and we congratulate the Tylers on their amazing achievement and for being change agents.
The film will be screened in Washington, DC, on March 24; in Chicago on March 31; and in Atlanta on May 3.
