The First Family Inaugural Fashion (Then & Now)

All eyes were on what the First Family wore yesterday on Inauguration Day and they all did not disappoint. First Lady Michelle decided to go with an unknown designer wearing a custom blue and black Thom Browne jacket and dress while daughters Sasha and Malia wore colorful jackets from J. Crew and Kate Spade. Malia wore a plum, button-up J. Crew coat while her sister wore a periwinkle “Carolyn” dress and “Patrice” coat from Kate Spade New York. For the Inaugural Ball, Michelle wowed in a red chiffon Jason Wu gown which she accessorized with custom emblellished ring  by Kimberly McDonald and Jimmy Choo heels. The President complimented Michelle in a traditional Stacy Adams tuxedo with a white bow-tie. The First Couple celebrated their Inaugural Ball by dancing to Al Green’s hit song, “Let’s Stay Together” sung by Jennifer Hudson.

“It’s overwhelming … It is one of those rare moments in someone’s career that you will always remember. There’s not a word that can really describe it. It’s just amazing.” – Thom Browne to the New York Times.
