For Renata Brook Dorsey and Omar Gunn, it was evident that these two love birds shared a love for the simple yet finer things in life. Their romantic vibe and chill spirit brought them to share their first date at a local restaurant followed by a walk in Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta. Little did Renata know that in her future was she going to be right back at Centennial Park to say “Yes” to her future husband!
It was Renata’s birthday when she knew she had to be ready for dinner with Omar at 6:00 pm. She had decided to take the day off from work to celebrate and to catch up on a bit of pampering when she realized that her appointment ended up running over time and almost made her miss her dinner reservations. Omar picked her up and since she was already running late for dinner at the restaurant, he decided to disclose to her that instead they would be going to ride the Ferris Wheel at Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta. Renata got so excited, when Omar suddenly flipped the script on her and asked her if she’d like to go for a walk through the park before the Ferris Wheel ride to look at all the holiday decorations and take pictures. Omar knew she loved to take pictures! So as they walked through the park and stopped to take pictures Omar decided to pop the question! There was also a man and a woman next to them taking pictures of Renata. which she later realized were photographers that Omar had hired! And as the night progressed, Omar had set up an entire photo shoot in the park, which was followed up with the Ferris wheel ride and dinner at the Canoe Restaurant. “The entire night was AMAZING!!!” Renata exclaimed.
This loving pair sure does know how to have fun, and they showed their playful side in their private engagement session with photographer Taun Henderson. Their engagement shoot was taken at two separate locations: The St. Regis Wine Room, and a small, tucked away park in Atlanta. Their shoot exhibited the perfect mix of their love and sheer sophistication. Together, Omar and Renata wanted to capture the chill romantic side of their personality and mostly wanted to incorporate the things that they enjoyed together as a couple and thanks to Taun Henderson Photography they were able to achieve this beautiful E-Session to last them a lifetime.

The Engagement Session
“We knew we wanted to incorporate things that we enjoyed and a essence of our personality, which consist of chill romantic vibes. Since we both enjoy wine we decided that the St. Regis wine room definitely captured what we were going for masculine but yet romantic. We also decided to do the second part of the e-session in a local small tucked away park and capture the laid-back side of our relationship!”
How has Wedding Planning been so far?
OH MAN!!!! Why weren’t we warned, or maybe we were it’s just that we thought it would go different for us. So far it’s been a never ending process of when you think your done your not! Both of us are looking to the day and definitely the honeymoon to release the stress of the planning!
What are you looking forward to the most on your wedding day?
