This Valentine’s Day, we’re transporting you to the sun-kissed shores of St. Ann, Jamaica, for a tropical romance styled shoot at the breathtaking Borghinvilla Wedding Venue.
Perched on dramatic oceanfront cliffs with crystal-clear waters and lush tropical gardens, this destination sets the stage for an unforgettable romance—one that exudes passion, culture, and timeless elegance.
Curated by Danielle Andrews of The Wedding Planners and Jennifer Borgh Events, this stunning styled shoot was designed to inspire modern couples who dream of a wedding as bold, vibrant, and deeply personal as their love story. “Every detail was thoughtfully curated to highlight the unique character of this destination venue and to inspire couples dreaming of a wedding as vibrant and unforgettable as their love story,” Andrews shares.
But beyond the breathtaking scenery, this editorial pays homage to heritage and cultural fusion, embracing the richness of Caribbean love. “Although the groom is Canadian,” Andrews explains, “his Trinidadian and Ecuadorian roots influenced many elements of the day, while the bride’s Jamaican background added authenticity to the setting. This cultural connection was reflected in the colors, florals, and natural details, paying homage to the vibrant energy and warmth of the Caribbean.”
For couples envisioning a destination wedding that blends luxury with cultural significance, this editorial is the ultimate inspiration. - Theme: Tropical Romance
- Location: Borghinvilla Wedding Venue, St. Ann, Jamaica

Setting the Scene for Love…

The day began with a glamorous first-look moment where the groom arrived in a sleek white Mercedes to find his bride waiting in front of Borghinvilla’s grand entrance. Against the villa’s stunning architecture and lush tropical surroundings, the couple shared a private, heartfelt moment, setting the tone for the rest of the celebration.

Before the ceremony, they enjoyed a quiet poolside toast at a beautifully styled Mimosa bar, where fresh tropical fruits and chilled champagne awaited them. This intimate pre-ceremony ritual, surrounded by the vibrant flowers floating in the pool, offered the couple a chance to soak in the joy and excitement of the day.

A Vision of “Tropical Romance”…
The theme, Tropical Romance, came to life through an over-abundance of white, fuchsia, and red roses intertwined with monstera leaves, setting a lush, exotic atmosphere from ceremony to celebration. The ceremony arch—overflowing with hundreds of vibrant blooms—created a captivating focal point, enhanced by a sparkling chandelier and a delicate crystal curtain backdrop. This transparent curtain provided an elegant frame for the couple without obstructing the view of Borghinvilla’s rugged cliffs and the endless blue sea beyond.

Reception details…
After exchanging vows, the couple transitioned to a chic reception area adorned with sheer fuchsia curtains and another magnificent floral arch. A mirrored table served as the centerpiece, brimming with even more fuchsia and red roses, monstera leaves, and elegant tableware.

Flowers floated across the pool, and the garden swing, wrapped in blooms and greenery, invited guests to enjoy the enchanting space from every angle.

Wedding day attire…
Our bride and groom radiated style and sophistication with three distinct looks throughout the day. For the ceremony, the bride wore a stunning strapless ballgown, while the groom looked dashing in a green linen suit that added an effortless island charm.

At the reception, the bride’s look transformed into an elegant beaded and lace blush gown, complementing the groom’s salmon pink linen suit.

To end the day on a playful note, the couple donned chic swimwear for a poolside champagne toast. The bride’s asymmetrical white swimsuit with oversized floral accents and the groom’s fitted black-and-white bathing trunks were perfect for a champagne moment on a clear kayak—a fun, adventurous touch that captured the spirit of the Caribbean.

This styled shoot was a labor of love and creativity. Every bloom, detail, and moment brought our vision of Tropical Romance to life, capturing the enchanting possibilities of a Borghinvilla wedding and leaving us all inspired by this dreamy destination.
