The Finer Touch Family
I’ve been very blessed to meet and work with people that have a really great passion for this business just like I do. We have some of the most talented people in the business…from experienced wedding professionals to extremely popular club DJs who have also become popular in the wedding industry. Regardless of the style you’re looking for, age range, or ethnicity, we have someone who can cater to your crowd.
Being Apart of Something Bigger
People on my team have their own accolades and they could go off and do other things, work for themselves, work with other people, some of them tour nationally, but they come and work here because they want to be part of what I’m doing. And for that, I’m very thankful.
One of the primary guys which many people in Muna are aware of, DJ Sparkx, he’s been with me for six or seven years. He was Cardi B’s touring DJ, he’s done Coachella, Wendy William’s, Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Kimmel. He’s a Hot 97 mix show DJ currently but he comes out with me every weekend. Every weekend he’s available because he understands what I’m trying to do and we try to do it together. And there are several others on my team like that…I can’t ask for better people than that.
Inside the Industry
If I had more time in the day, I would find more things to do. I always saw a great opportunity in this. This is always what I wanted to do… this is what I loved.
When people are celebrating their milestones, birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, weddings, all of the biggest moments in your life…we’re away from our families not celebrating those things to celebrate with you. And while that is our choice because we love what we do, when we’re invited somewhere, we can never go. If you do that over 10 or 20 or 30 years, you miss a lot. And again, it is our choice, it’s because of the field we chose to be in. There’s an industry saying “We work Monday through Friday so we can work on the weekends”. When you have a team there on your day, they’re away from their children, they’re away from their wives and husbands and families and it should be acknowledged and appreciated. While we’re following our passion, it’s not an easy thing. It requires a lot of additional preparation and hard work. Next time you see a wedding vendor pat them on the shoulder and thank them.
2019 Muna Love Affair
In the 2000’s we started doing bigger bridal shows…it’s probably very reminiscent of what many of the folks at Muna will remember as the 2019 Muna Love Affair. The Muna Coterie members really go out to show their very best. We did a 15-minute showcase and we had 400 people on their feet partying with us. We turned the show into a party. And that was our way of giving you four hours of entertainment in 15 minutes. Let us show you what we’re capable of doing at your party regardless of who you are. It put us on the map in terms of the energy we can bring and the kind of party people can have if they work with us.
