Ciara and Russell Wilson set the internet ablaze on Wednesday, with their hush-hush ceremony at the Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. The “Body Party” singer served major boho-vibes in her gorgeous long-sleeved, Roberto Cavalli, lace gown while her NFL hubby wore a classic black tux.
While Ciara has surely set trends with her bridal attire, we couldn’t ignore the sketches of her uber-stylish bridesmaids gowns, reveled by designer, Michael Costello. Costello crafted eight individual gowns for Cici’s gals, whom included celebs Kelly Rowland and LaLa Anthony. Costello is quoted saying that Ciara hoped to implement each girl’s individual style and personality into the design of their gowns (brides-to-be, take note!).

Each of the sleek, silk satin, all-black looks spied on the girls were structured and tailored to the wearer. Costello also noted that he felt that Ciara selected black because you can never go wrong with it and most importantly, it’s a color all women feel confident in (okay – we love you even more for this Ciara!). As for accessories, they kept it simple by sporting twinning French lace chokers.
Ciara’s all-black bridesmaids looks are likely to spark major trends among 2016-2017 brides and we’re here to lend some inspo, by sharing these all-black bridesmaids styles, crafted by leading bridal and evening-wear brand, Theia.
The Theia Bridesmaids collection blends ethereal vibes with a hint of boho chic (similar to Ciara’s “I-do” style) And, like Ciara’s vision, Theia’s silhouettes (coming in sizes 0-28) can be donned by women of all shapes. Allowing bridesmaids to rid themselves of wedding day dread and look fabulous while standing alongside the bride. Another added bonus, the line is affordable, with prices ranging from $260-$290!
But if you aren’t quite sold on “all-black” another option is a gown in a deep, midnight navy hue coming in a solid or adorned in head-to-toe sequins – which is also a hugely emerging trend seen on bridesmaids, that brings on the sparkle!
Brides, will you be adding all-black bridesmaids gowns to your wedding style menu?
