This simple bridal inspiration photographed in a historic home south of Nashville, Tennessee brings together classic/traditional design with a modern twist. This bridal session shows that beauty can be found in quiet locations and that shoots without fanfare can still be stunning. Our bride wears a Monique Lhuillier gown with lace sleeves and a skirt that provides playful movement. Alice and Mae’s veil and tiara combination is perfectly suited for a modern bride who still wants to incorporate traditional style on her wedding day. Our predominantly neutral color palette is accented by springtime pinks and greens, making us all ready for warm weather and sunshine! And, of course, our bride’s radiant smile can light up any room!
Bridal sessions are a southern tradition. Brides often choose to be photographed in their wedding dresses before the wedding day, which allows us to get more beautiful portraits ahead of the hustle and bustle of a wedding day. As a photographer, I am a firm believer that bridal sessions can be romantic, dreamy, and pensive…but that they should also be fun and happy! A bridal session is a celebration of what is to come, and there’s nothing like a laughing bride to bring joy to everyone who sees her. This shoot was photographed both on digital and film. (The film stocks used were Portra 400 and Ilford Delta 3200, developed by Boutique Film Lab.)
