Jasmine and Jonathan were destined to be together. The couple lived in the same neighborhood as children but had never met. One summer when Jasmine was home from college, a few of their mutual friends formally introduced the pair. They were forced apart for a few years while Jasmine finished school, but once she returned to New York after graduation their union would never be broken.
The couple used the lush scenery of Brownwood Park in Atlanta for their engagement session. Described as the perfect prelude for their enchanted garden wedding, the engagement shoot captured their loving chemistry and fun personalities. Tell us all about the proposal!
The engagement happened on February 21, 2015 at Woodfire Grill in Atlanta, GA. Jon had the restaurant print “Jasmine, will you marry me ?” on the inside of the menu, so when I went to order my food I was in for a big surprise. Perfect for us, since we are such foodies! Jon ended the night with a surprise stay at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead, where the hotel had champagne, roses and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us upon arrival. Seriously the best night of my life.
What did you do on your first date?
Dave & Busters! We’re big kids.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?
Travel and be adventurous foodies.
How has wedding planning been so far? And what advice would you give to brides-to-be?
Good! Actually think I should take up a career in wedding planner after, because I enjoy many aspects of it. Communication and follow up would be my biggest advice to brides to be! Also to enjoy your engagement with your loved one, it goes by too quickly.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day.
My venue and the food! The honeymoon is looking pretty promising as well since we’ve booked flights to Thailand!
