“Get your centerpieces off the table”. That’s something that I recently heard regarding wedding centerpieces and the current trend in the wedding industry today. I must say, I’m a huge fan! I tell my clients that weddings are supposed to appeal to all of the five senses; sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch, almost immediately upon entering the ceremony and reception spaces.
By nature, the first thing we do is look around at the decor of a wedding and reception. Over the years, wedding centerpieces have gone from simple hurricane vases to a combination of highs and lows. Now they’ve gotten taller, more elaborate, and even suspend from the air. In an effort to continue to be creative and innovative, wedding planners and designers have now given greater heights to centerpieces by hanging them from the ceilings, suspending them over dance floors, hanging them over the sweetheart table, and even over the ceremony location.
Regardless of the location, hanging centerpieces allow the eyes to dance and gives us something magnificent to feast our eyes upon during a wedding celebration. If you’re considering hanging centerpieces at your wedding or reception, I’ve gathered some of my favorites for inspiration. Enjoy!
