Describe your business. McEllis Brides is a custom gown boutique. We take your inspiration pictures and mesh them into a one of a kind, dream wedding gown for our brides.

What did you do before starting your business in the wedding industry? I was a bridal consultant at David’s Bridal, while event planning and baking cakes on the side.

How long have you been in the wedding industry? 13 years

How would you describe your style? Understated, uncluttered, and ageless.

What motivates you? The overwhelming excitement on my brides face when she see’s her gown design for the first time.

Why should brides/grooms choose you? We provide our brides with the ability to completely customize their gown. From the style of the gown, to the size of the gown.

How does your company define and measure success? I define success by customer satisfaction. McEllis Brides has been awarded for customer satisfaction 5 years in a row. While there are multiple way to measure success, one proven way is continuous growth each year. We’ve been blessed to see growth each year.

What do you enjoy most about your work? Doing design consultants for my clients. Just dreaming up all the possibilities gets me excited!

Describe a proud moment while working in the wedding industry. Completing our very first bridal fashion show was a very proud moment. There was an overwhelming positive response to our gown designs.

What’s the best compliment you’ve received for your work? “Michelle was AMAZING to work with! The original dress I wanted was perfect, yet lacked the “wow” factor that I was looking for in my dress. Michelle was able to place her own spin onto the dress and made it 10x’s better than what I ever could’ve imagined. I am still so happy with my dress and hope to work with her again in the future!” – This is just one of our client reviews!

What are your business goals? My long term goal to have my line of gowns sold in bridal shops around the world.

What’s your favorite part of the wedding industry? …None other than bridal attire!

What’s your least favorite part of the wedding industry? I love it all! However my event planner friends have the toughest job in my opinion.

Describe your vision of the “perfect” wedding. I always say there is no such thing as “perfect.” However we have to drink in moments of happiness whenever we can. Having your spouse, some friends and family members around to witness a momentous occasion, is pretty close to perfect.

Where do you find the most inspiration? Pinterest of course! I love looking at Pinterest and magazines pertaining to bridal fashion.
