All ticket sales will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome Fund. This fund is close to the heart of Mahogany Brown Bridal’s owner, Whitney Stephenson, whose son Phoenix is affected by Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome.
Whitney rediscovered her love for design while her son was in the hospital and needed custom clothing to accommodate his medical equipment. She started a children’s clothing line called impKidz and eventually her bridal fashion line, Lee Jerome. On June 17th, 2022, she opened her bridal boutique Mahogany Brown Bridal in historic downtown Concord, North Carolina.
Today, Whitney continues to passionately support this cause in addition to highlighting Black-owned brands and designers in her boutique. Learn more bout Whitney and her mission in her exclusive Behind The Brand interview seen in Issue 30 here.
