You know we love the bridal fashion line Kosibah by iconic fashion designer Yemi Osunkoya, and now, you can see his designs in person! He has partnered with the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel to open the first-ever bridal suite on the property, and the grand opening was June 16, 2021.
Kosibah has been renown in London and Nigeria for the past 29 years for his bespoke and couture gowns. He recently added made-to-order and ready-to-wear options to his international fashion line and has taken the US by storm with his unique designs. Now you can see his gowns in person stateside at an exclusive bridal suite in the ultra-luxe InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel.
The Kosibah Suite is located on the fourth floor of this stunning hotel in suite 465 and operates by appointment only. When a client enters the space, they will receive an intimate, couture experience with Yemi or with a trained sales representative, who will help them design or select their dream wedding dress.
As Yemi approaches his 30th anniversary in the business in September of 2021, it is important to him to expand his brand but still provide an intimate experience for his clients. Occupying a suite in the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel will allow his international brides to visit New York, explore the city in style, and have a private, luxurious bridal experience. Upon arrival, visitors to the Kosibah Suite will have access to the hotel’s bar, and later this summer, they will be invited to dine and drink at The Parlour, the hotel’s restaurant that pays homage to the hotel’s 1920’s origin.
