Munaluchi Event, “Cocktails and Conversation” on Food Network’s Premiere of “Fat Chef” Thursday January 26th at 10pm
In November, we hosted a small and intimate media mixer event at DEX New York called “Cocktails and Conversation” organized by Kay Lucas of MediaSense. One of the caterers for the event, Melba Wilson of Melba’s Restaurant in Harlem, is one of a select number of chefs selected for Food Network’s new show, “Fat Chef.” We were so excited when we found out that Food Network would be taping our event. We just learned that The Food Network is “in love” with the great footage from our mixer and can’t wait to see how everything turns out.
Join us on Thursday, January 26 at 10PM as we watch the premiere of Fat Chef featuring famous chefs who are constantly surrounded by irresistible food. You just might see some familiar faces!
For overweight chefs, working in the food industry is a double-edged sword. While indulging their love of food has brought them success, money and respect, it’s also killing them. Each episode of Fat Chef features two such overweight food professionals and spends four months with them as they confront their food issues and, with the help of therapists, nutritionists and trainers defeat their abusive relationships with food and become healthy.
