Notie + Femi: Suprise Proposal & Engagement Session in {Chicago}

All proposals are absolutely, sweep-you-off-your feet wonderful because they represent one of the most defining moments in a couple’s relationship. For every happy couple, the proposal is unforgettable. It becomes literally unforgettable when that exact moment is documented by a professional photographer. Notie and Femi had one of those moments when Femi enlisted the help of friend and photographer, Olu “Lulu” Akintorin of OluJr Photographr , who had  planned a test shoot for the couple. This is just the type of friend/photographer everybody needs! The images below are of a proposal in progress. Feel free to squeal in delight :)

A Divine Meeting ….. “We met almost 8 years ago at church, JHT in  Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We both were active members of the church and we met during one of our numerous conversations; we are where we are today to the glory of God that started it all. We have moved through different continents separately and together, and I can only say God has been faithful to us both through the ups and downs. We are very excited to be planning our wedding.”

Lights, Camera, Proposal ….. “The pictures tell the story of the proposal. All I can say is it was a well-planned surprise. So all I knew about May 5, 2012 was that I was supposed to get ready for a photo shoot which OluJr Photographr had planned with both of us, not knowing my love had other plans. We did not really have a theme for the day, we just planned to dress casual for the shoot to help the photographer “test his new lens”.” It was during this “test shoot” that a nervous Femi made his move. Of course, she said, “Yes!”

{You Make Loving You So Easy}

He loves ….. “I love a lot of things about my woman: I love her enthusiasm, generosity and kindness. I love her sacrificial self as she always puts the needs of others above hers. She is a God-fearing  lady, a great cook, and is very down-to-earth with a unique and great character. She can also be reserved and quiet which is among the numerous things I love about my lady. “The bone of my bones and the flesh of my flesh… my love and best friend”.”

She loves ….. “I love a lot of things about my man: Femi is a very focused man, he knows what he wants out of life and how he plans to get there with God by his side. He is a quiet romantic (which I love), reserved,  has a heart to help others achieve their goals, and a man after God’s heart and full of integrity. He says what he means and means what he says. He speaks his mind and above all, with me, he is very patient, loving, trustworthy, caring and a whole lot more. “The bone of my bones and the flesh of my flesh… my love and best friend.”
