Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Basketball world – long story short, then he slid in my DMs…
My one wish for a proposal was to have all my family in the same room when the time came. He planned it on a weekend that both of our families would be in town for different reasons. It was his first game back after his ACL injury and it was the same weekend that my sister-in-law’s restaurant opened. So his mother was in town and my parents were in town. He wanted us all to go out to dinner as a family since it’s very rare that we are all in the same place at the same time. It was a normal night at a nice restaurant and he stood up to make a toast (which wasn’t out of the ordinary) and before I knew it he was in the middle of the poem and then down on one knee asking me to marry him. I didn’t know what was happening until halfway through the poem. It was everything I wanted and more in a proposal from the love of my life.

Describe your engagement session. We wanted our engagement session to be a little teaser of what is to come at the wedding. We wanted it to be clean and timeless and that is exactly what we got. Tommie and Connie hit the nail on the head for what we wanted.

What did you do on your first date? Our first date was on June 12th. We went to go to X-Men and then ordered pizza to his hotel and watched a replay of the Louisville and Michigan St game which was a game that he played in.

What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? We are such home bodies and have the best dogs ever so really our favorite thing to do as a couple is stay home, watch movies, play videos games, and just hangout with our dogs.

How has wedding planning been so far? Wedding planning as been amazing so far! We have a great wedding planner who has been a godsend since we are planning a wedding in one city but live 3000 miles away. We are getting closer to the day so this is when things really start picking up.

Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. I am looking forward most to just enjoying the day with my future husband but also my family. I am the only girl and the youngest out of my siblings so I know this is going to be an emotional day for all of us. But I just can’t wait to be married to the love of my life and party all night long!
