With couples meeting on social media now more than ever, what started out as a simple DM turned into a dazzling destination proposal in Italy for this adventure-loving couple. Brielle and Rich invited us to join them at their Georgia state capitol engagement session with Photographer Emmanuel Brooks where they celebrated their upcoming fall wedding with these fantastic and memorable photos.

The soon-to-be newlyweds got engaged during a romantic trip to Positano Spiaggia with its brightly colored homes overlooking the turquoise beach on the iconic Almalfi Coast. Since wedding planning is sure to be in full swing for the couple, we had a chance to share in the excitement of their love story with these celebratory snapshots inside the state capitol building in Atlanta.

The Georgia State Capitol, with its grand Corinthian columns and classical architecture, was the venue of choice for Rich and Brielle who wanted to bring their vision of sophistication and romance to the styled shoot. With grandeur and history all around them, Brielle and Rich gave us a glimpse into their warm and fun personalities before they tie the knot this fall in Las Vegas!

Rich slid into my DMs—but if you ask him, he’ll probably say I slid into his! Either way, that first message sparked something special, and from there, our connection grew effortlessly. What started as a simple DM turned into deep conversations, daily Facetimes, and ultimately, the love story that brought us here today.

Rich popped the question on Positano Spiaggia in September 2023, creating a moment as breathtaking as the Amalfi Coast itself. With the sun setting over the pastel-colored cliffs and the waves gently rolling onto the shore, it felt like time stood still. As we stood on the iconic beach, taking in the beauty of the moment, Rich got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. It was a dream come true—an intimate, unforgettable proposal in one of the most romantic places in the world.

Did your engagement session have a theme?

For our engagement session, we envisioned something dreamy and timeless, a visual story that captured the depth of our love and the journey we’re on together. The Georgia State Capitol was the perfect backdrop for our shoot—its grand architecture and historic elegance provided a striking contrast to the warmth and intimacy of our connection. The stunning marble columns, intricate details, and golden dome gave the photos a sense of sophistication and permanence, just like the love we share.

As we walked hand in hand through the halls and steps of the Capitol, we weren’t focused on the history of the building itself but on the future, we’re creating together. The space became a canvas for our love, our story, and our own definition of legacy—one built on joy, resilience, and an unshakable bond. Against the timeless architecture, every moment felt intimate, every glance meaningful, and every captured frame a reflection of the love we’ll carry into our marriage.

What did you do on your first date?

Our first date was nothing short of an adventure—a perfect mix of spontaneity and connection. On Cinco de Mayo in NYC, we spent the day exploring SoHo, shopping, laughing, and getting lost in conversation. There were no elaborate plans, just the excitement of being together and seeing where the day would take us. It was effortless, exciting, and the first of many adventures. From that moment on, we knew we had something special—something worth exploring, one adventure at a time.

Brielle was definitely bridal-ready in this super fun mini!

What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple?

DATE! Big dates, small dates, dinner dates, brunch dates, day dates—ALL DATES. Whether it’s dressing up for a fancy night out, finding a cozy brunch spot, or simply exploring a new city together, we love creating memories through experiences. Every date is a chance to laugh, connect, and celebrate our love, no matter how big or small.

How has wedding planning been so far?

Rich and I have been adamant about keeping wedding planning as stress-free as possible, and so far—it’s been fun! We’re focusing on enjoying the process, making intentional choices, and staying true to what feels right for us. At the end of the day, it’s all about celebrating our love with the people who matter most, and that perspective has made planning feel exciting rather than overwhelming.

Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day.

Rich and I are most looking forward to saying “I do” in one of our favorite cities, surrounded by a small group of our family and closest friends. Over the past five years, we’ve created so many incredible memories in Las Vegas, making it the perfect place to celebrate our love and step into our Marriage Era. The city that never sleeps has been the backdrop for some of our best moments, and now, it will hold one of the most meaningful ones yet—the start of our forever.
