This ethereal bridal photoshoot is the perfect way to inspire women of color to incorporate their natural hairstyles into their wedding day looks.

The lack of natural hair representation in the wedding industry was the foundation for this bridal editorial. Elizabeth Johnson explained, “The idea of embracing my natural curls was never a reality for me. I felt like my curly hair wasn’t elegant enough to match the beauty of my wedding dress. When it comes to the wedding industry, I noticed a lack of representation of women of color embracing their natural curl pattern. So I had an idea: A styled bridal photoshoot with the majority of the women of color embracing natural hairstyles.”

The three combined elements of Earth, Wind, and Fire featured in this editorial are here to inspire and sound the clarion call for women to embrace their natural hair and to exude their luminous beauty. Each natural element that the models represented had a custom floral installation that featured rustic shades of reds and terra cotta along with dried pampas grass and Lunaria that intermingled with other pinks and ivories in the floral arrangements. The curated gowns from Wild Blooms Bridal also fully express the vision of an ethereal, romantic bride on her wedding day. We hope you fall in love with and get inspiration from these gorgeous bridal looks that speak uniquely to you in the photo gallery below:
