Urban Spring Glam Styled Shoot in Brooklyn

Located in an authentic soul-food restaurant in Brooklyn, this styled shoot brings a spring garden theme with tropical flare into a city chic event space.

“This styled shoot utilized a venue set up for a Celebration. The venue was designed with a bridal shower or small wedding reception in mind with its creative seating all around. The styled shoot’s theme is “Urban Spring Glam” and took place in Brooklyn, NY in and outside of Cheri’s BedStuy, a southern cuisine restaurant. The components of the styled shoot and celebration mixed soft, feminine glamour with city scenes and nature. Our venue had exposed brick walls and glossed wood tables and chairs, so we added soft, elegant elements like pink chiffon chair sashes closed with rhinestone broaches. Our table linens were a pink crinkle taffeta that flowed beautifully to the floor and on top of the linen we placed knotted green stain napkins, gold floral starter plates, brushed gold flatware, and green, pink and white flower beds. We added custom pink and green menu cards that incorporated the spring garden theme into it. We also incorporated custom cookies with guests’ names to serve as non-traditional place cards. We then mixed in clear and gold-tone candle holders to create a soft romantic feel. To accentuate the exposed brick wall and large marble bar top, we added extra-large arrangements of green and metallic gold monstera leaves, white calla lilies and shades of pink roses. Our model wore a glamorous red couture dress made by Designer Yemi Osunkoya of Kosibah. The couture dress stood out elegantly against the backdrop of city streets and exposed brick. Our model also wore a sequined blush jumper that added glitz and glam to the shots, in the midst of the natural urban garden going on inside of Cheri’s BedStuy. We wanted to give brides, mothers of the bridge and the bride’s squad ideas of how to create a non-traditional look for traditional occasions. We hope you are inspired!”
