We’ve been paying close attention to Alexis Welch’s street style and gala getups. Here are our predictions on the wardrobe we envision for one of the most important fashion days of her, and any girl’s, life.
Her dress
Heavyweights Oscar de la Renta and Vera Wang brought color to the Bridal Wear 2013 catwalk. The red gown, in all its shades of glory, was a big runway trend. Although Alexis would look stunning in any one of Vera Wang’s dresses, we imagine a more traditional approach to dresses for the bride-to-be.
Our pick: Ines di Santo Fall 2012-2013
Why she should wear it: Alexis’ style proves she likes to be girly and feminine, but with a little edge. With her love of high-waisted pants that show off her slim waist and accentuates her well-shaped hips, she should choose a figure-hugging dress that does just the same. Crystal, another big trend for 2013, makes the dress super-feminine and is sure to wow her husband-to-be. The edge comes through clearly in the frothy, embellished skirt. Ines di Santo’s fusion of simple, trendy, classic, and form-fitting would make Alexis feel like the only girl in the world on her big day.
Her hair
Why this hair would look great on her: Whether Alexis rocks a mid-length bob or a short cut, she loves soft curls and color. For her wedding day, a classic up-do that will still have body but also shows off her face would be the perfect recipe for an all-out bridal glow.
