A big congratulations to CNN anchor Isha Sesay, 37, and Leif Coorlim,34, executive editor of The CNN Freedom Project, on their marriage this past Sunday. The beautiful couple said their “I do’s” in the presence of close friends and family at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Atlanta. In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Sesay described the wedding as, “magical. […] I married the man of my dreams in front of the people we care about the most. And then we partied the night away.”
The beautiful bride wore a strapless, custom Amsale gown, which featured elaborate beading. She complimented her look with a cathedral veil. Sesay shared that wedding dress designer Amsale was actually there with her when she tried on dresses at her showroom in New York. Sesay recalls, “[Amsale] was wonderful. After trying on a number of gowns, Amsale, my stylist Stacey Brice Washington and I agreed that this was the dress for me!” Sesay was right, she looks like a dream!
In an interview with the Huffington Post the couple shared their thoughts about each other:
From Isha: “He has an extraordinarily large heart, and every day he does something that impresses me and makes me want to be a better person. He’s truly a special soul.”
From Leif: “We can’t take 10 steps in the building without her stopping to talk to somebody. She’s best friends with her dry cleaner, waiters in the restaurant down the road, even her dentist. It’s that kind of open-heartedness, that I truly am in awe of and love about her.”
