Margaret and Corey Johnson truly have a relationship based on faith. They met at a church conference where Margaret was the guest speaker. They only spoke briefly, but when she came back to the church to do another workshop, they talked and Corey purchased a book that Margaret had written. They soon became Facebook friends and talked for hours before meeting at the park for their first date. Corey would later propose to Margaret at the First Baptist Church Gardens in New Bern, NC.
This handsome couple met at a church, got engaged at a church and of course they had a beautiful traditional church wedding. They decided to go for a regal royal blue, turquoise and ivory color scheme, which was beautifully incorporated into their flower arrangements and the bridesmaids’ dresses! Margaret was stunning in a beautiful strapless ivory mermaid style gown with a gorgeous bow accent, and she commanded full attention when she surprised Corey by singing a song to him as she walked down the aisle! We love that this couple stayed true to their values in their nuptials, and AS22 Photography beautifully photographed every touching moment!

Wedding Style
My wedding dress was a strapless ivory mermaid style gown with a beautiful bow accent on the side. I wore an ivory blusher and custom made jewelry designed by my best friend.

We stayed true to our Christian values and incorporated special touches, such as the sand ceremony.
Most Memorable Moment
My best memory is the look on my husband’s face when I sang to him as I walked down the aisle.
