Makeup Tutorial: The Perfect Eyeliner & The Perfect Red Lip

For a classic beauty look from around the world, we’re taking you to Berlin, Germany today where photographer, Katja Scherle Festtagsfotografien shot a makeup tutorial conducted by hair and makeup artist, Annika Noack. The lovely face that you see in the tutorial is not a model but in fact the everyday beautiful woman of color so that you can easily and accurately recreate these gorgeous looks, perfect as you prepare for your engagement photo shoot or wedding day. 

The Perfect Red Lip

Step One: Draw the outline of the lips with a pencil that is similar to your own lip color.

Step Two: Fill in the lips with a red lip pencil. Note that the lipstick lasts longer if you use a lip pencil beforehand.

Step Three: Apply the actual lipstick in a bold red shade of your choice.

Viola! Wow, what a stunning look! This is the perfect classic look that will always turn heads and have all eyes on you. But we’re not finished yet. Next up, the perfect eyeliner…

The Perfect Eyeliner

Step One: Apply golden eye shadow with a soft brush.

Step Two: Draw a thin line from the middle to the outside of the eye. Figure out which brush works for you. You can use a tapered brush or a fine liner brush.

Step Three: Draw the line from back to front. Note that if you do it fast, you will get a good and clean line.

Step Four: Fill in the lines by “coloring” the space between the line.

Step Five: Apply. This look works beautifully with a blue-ish/green-ish eyeliner color, a natural lip and rosy cheeks.
