Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin is Engaged!!!

The celebrity engagement flood gates are officially open! Yesterday, NBA star, LeBron James proposed to his long time girlfriend, Savannah; today, it has been reported that the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin is engaged!!! The 69-year old soul singer got  engaged to her long time friend, William “Willie” Wilkerson over the holidays. In case you were wondering, Ms. Franklin joked in her statement to the Associate Press, “No, I’m not pregnant.” :)

For her wedding dress, The Queen of Soul is reportedly considering major designers Donna Karan, Valentino and Vera Wang. She tentatively anticipates that their wedding will take place in June or July in Miami Beach, Florida with their reception to take place aboard a private yacht.
