How did you meet?

Lionel and I were introduced by his cousin who is my friend.

Tell us about the proposal.

Our proposal was a very small and intimate event. It happened in Michigan during one of my regular visits. I came over not knowing he had invited his friends and family over. I was going about my business not knowing he was going to propose to me. After we had dinner, which I prepared, we were talking, and then he stood up to make a speech which was supposed to be for me to get to know his other family members whom I have never met before. Before I knew it, he was on one knee asking me to marry him. For a second I was about to run out but there was no door. I was filled with excitement when I said yes!!!!!
