Tell us how you met and all about the proposal:
“Roderick and Davalynn began their love story in 2009 after meeting one Friday night during a youth service at Davalynn’s fathers church. After what was then a simple conversation between Roderick and Davalynn (as she thought), Roderick knew at that moment she was someone special. “That night, I (Roderick) searched through social media networks to find her. I needed to get her attention. After periods of communication our friendship became deeper. Before we both knew it days became weeks, weeks became months, & months became years. The rest was indeed history as our love only blossomed from there. Of course she played hard to get, but I continued to pursue and now we are here, says Roderick.
Fast forwarding three years from then, the pair began to be open about their relationship, being because they wanted to make sure that before they became public they wanted to allow God to work on them privately. They both believe that nothing can be done unless God is in the center of it all. Being both birthed into families of Pentecostal leaders, their faith in God is a priority.
After four years of dating, Roderick proposed to Davalynn on a Sunday evening October 4, 2015 with close family surrounded at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Trenton, NJ. Following the engagement, the couple began the wedding planning process. They immediately listed the bridal party which consisted of 41 people (14 Bridesmaids, 14 Groomsmen, 5 Ring Security, & 6 Flower Girls). With the creative minds of both the Bride & Groom they celebrated their nuptials in a very elegant way.”

What is your best memory from your wedding?

What is the best advice you have for engaged couples?
First advise would be to Communicate with with one another it is key. Attend a marriage counseling session, It is very important.

The knot was tied on September 3rd, 2016 @ 2:00pm in the afternoon. This literary loving couple’s romantic ceremony was kicked off without a hitch due to the help of several coterie members, including Celebrity Singer Jesse Campbell from “The Voice”, Gospel Rap Artist Prayz1, Levi Feeni Photography, Justin Rollins from Philly Sound and Lighting, Jasmine Harris from Kingdom Cuts, Candayce Johnson from Glam Candy MUA.
