Adrienne and Joseph first met as law students on the campus of Ohio State University. Although it was their initial meeting, they didn’t really speak to each other until after Joseph had already graduated, being two years ahead of Adrienne. One day while out with friends they ran into each other and have been inseparable ever since.

Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. Joseph and I met while we were law students at The Ohio State University. Joseph was two years ahead of me in the program. We did not talk to each other or date until after Joseph graduated in May 2010, when we ran into each other while out with friends.
Joseph proposed to me on my birthday, 10/19/16. We went to dinner at a rooftop restaurant/bar that overlooks downtown Cleveland. We started off the night by getting drinks while we watched the Cleveland Indians play in the American League Championship to secure a spot in the World Series (Joseph is a HUGE Cleveland sports fan). The Indians won the game! We then had a nice dinner and while walking back to the car, Joseph got down on one knee.
Describe your wedding style. My wedding dress was a mermaid style with a full, flowing skirt. I wanted the dress to be somewhat sexy and princess like at the same time.
What is your favorite memory from the wedding? My favorite memory from the wedding is looking into the ballroom and seeing how excited our friends and family were to celebrate with us. Joseph and I are blessed that everyone close to us is invested and 100% supportive of our relationship.
What advice do you have for engaged couples? I would tell engaged couples to enjoy the planning process and involve friends and family in it as much as possible. The wedding day goes by so fast, so stretch out the fun by enjoying every part of the planning process.
