Chandra and Brandon tied the knot at their classic black, white, and gold wedding at a charming restored historical venue, 701 Whaley, in Columbia, South Carolina!

Chandra and Brandon first laid eyes on one another at a party. From there, their relationship bloomed, which led them to become engaged and meet at the altar on May 24, 2024.

With the help of Chandra’s friends, Brandon surprised Chandra with a proposal at her birthday party in August of 2023. Every sweet moment was captured by a videographer.

Chandra and Brandon’s classic wedding affair featured elegant white floral arrangements of roses and baby’s breath, classic candelabras, and an abundance of white candles. The restored historical venue added elements of old-time charm, creating a romantic and timeless atmosphere for their ceremony and reception.

We met at a party in Columbia, SC.

Tell us about the proposal.

We were in Nashville, TN, for Chandra’s birthday in August 2023. Chandra’s sister and best friend set up the rental home with decorations and a videographer during the birthday celebrations. After several attempts of trying to get her to come upstairs, the videographer was able to capture the entire proposal.

What was your wedding color palette?

Black, white, and shades of gold.

Did you incorporate any culture into your wedding day?

Christian faith cord of three strands.

What are your favorite moments from your wedding?

Some of the highlights of our wedding were taking memorable photos with family members in our custom photo booth, seeing the dance floor filled with every generation, and playing our favorite song as the last song of the night as we (the bride and groom) sang to each other. One word that could describe our wedding is elegance; it was truly a night of elegance.
