It’s a day we’ll never forget because of the terror that permanently changed America.

And as much as it is a day of remembrance, it’s also a day of celebration for man. A birthday, a wedding, an anniversary… 9/11 will always be a special day for Jerry and Cassandra. They tied the knot last year on this day in front of 200 family and friends in NYC. Their wedding was everything they wanted and more – beautiful, emotional, and personal. Surf Club has great menu options! We loved everything at first bite during the tasting. However, our favorite was the steak, it was juicy and delicious!

First dance song:

A Haitian Hymnal which we got produced for us as our first dance. It’s called “Avek ou” (With You) Produced by Gil XL Defay

Wedding Style: Describe your wedding dress. What was wedding shopping like for you?

My wedding dress is nothing short of spectacular! It is strapless with a sweetheart neckline and beaded lace decorating the 4-ply silk, which extended to a beautiful train. Epaulettes adorned my shoulders and a lovely sheer cape was attached to the shoulder jewelry. My dress was custom made by Pantora Bridal, the vision I had in mind could not be found at any store. However, at Pantora Bridal, my vision came to life! It looked even better than what I imagined. I’ll be forever grateful for their creativity. I had a one of a kind dress thanks to Pantora!

Culture: Did you incorporate any culture into your wedding? If yes, tell us more.

Yes we did! Our first dance was to a well known Haitian hymnal called “Avek Ou”. The English translation is “With You”. We loved the song and re-recorded the song in the studio to make it a love song.

Memories: What is your best memory from your wedding?

Our favorite memory of the wedding would be the exchange of personal vows to one another. It was emotional and unforgettable.

Advice: What is the best wedding advice you can give to engaged couples?

Take the time to enjoy the planning process, also make sure to incorporate some of the brides and grooms identity into the wedding planning so that guests can see traces of your personalities throughout the ceremony and reception.
