Kenita Cumberbatch-Walcott and Julian Walcott met in high school, but their love didn’t bloom until years later. After three years of dating, Julian proposed while the handsome couple took a stroll along the scenic pond at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA.
Their wedding was full of bold colors and high fashion. Their vibrant orange and purple color scheme was present everywhere, from their bridesmaids’ dresses to the groomsmen’s socks! Kenita wore two gorgeous gowns and spunky leopard print Christian Louboutin heels. Julian was dapper accessorizing his perfectly tailored tuxedo with a polka dot bow tie and matching pocket square! How They Met
Julian and I met in High school in Georgetown Guyana many years ago where we became friends. Although we went our separate ways after high school , faith led us back to each other about 6 years ago.
The Proposal
Julian and I dated for 3 years before he proposed to me on December 31, 2011. My family was aware that Julian intended to propose but I was kept in the dark. He took me to Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA, as we walked the trail by the lake holding hands, he stopped and got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I felt like the luckiest woman in the world! :)
Wedding Style
I wore a heavily beaded ivory trumpet style gown. My favorite accessory was my leopard print Christian Louboutin shoes.
