Bianca and Brandon exchanged vows during a luxurious, romantic destination wedding in Jamaica overlooking Montego Bay.
This travel-loving duo’s destination beach wedding, designed by Muna Coterie member Patrice Dehaney of Luxe Event Design and Tifphany Nichol Weddings, was packed with features like stunning views of Montego Bay, delicately hued florals, and touches of luxury details at their glittering reception.
Brandon’s goal of proposing to Bianca, who by the way is his college sweetheart, during Halloween took the help of close family and friends to assist in pulling off an epic surprise. He also had to come up with another surprise to trick Bianca into thinking that they wouldn’t be alone. Everything came together, and Lake Erie was the perfect spot for just the two of them. When he finally had Bianca all to himself, he popped the question with not only the ring but a sunset proposal that made their engagement pure magic.
Guests arrived at the outdoor sun-filled venue on the shores of Montego Bay and were treated to custom wedding day newspapers featuring the bride and groom. Soft-hued white and peach florals and pampas grass gave the ceremony those luxurious yet relaxing beach vibes. Afterwards, guests were welcomed at sunset into a fabric-draped oasis under the stars, which featured fairytale chandeliers and candlelit tables that gave the tent its dazzling atmosphere.

How did you meet?
Bianca and Brandon’s love story started in the heart of Pittsburgh. Brandon, a Junior at Pitt, crossed paths with Bianca, who was diving into clinical rotations at UPMC. The tale of their first meeting is a classic case of “he-said-she-said”: Brandon swears it was at a campus event, while Bianca vividly remembers approaching him at a party to secure his number.

Tell us about the proposal…
Brandon, with the assistance of family and friends, tricked Bianca into thinking that a casual trip to Cleveland, Ohio for Halloween Weekend would turn into one of the best days of their lives. Brandon and his committee planned a weekend full of events, including fright night at Cedar Point Amusement Park, before the actual proposal. He made a dinner reservation for ten people at Jade New Asian and Sushi Bar. Minutes leading up to dinner, he informed Bianca that they would have to head to the restaurant early to secure the table because the rest of the party was “running late”. This was the perfect cover-up for Bianca and Brandon to walk up to the proposal site alone, where they were greeted by a beautiful sunset backdrop along Lake Erie, marquee letters, a red carpet, red roses, and candles. The rest is history…

What was the wedding shopping experience like for you?
After trying on ten different dresses, Bianca chose her stunning dress by Allure Bridals at Elite Secrets Bridal Boutique in Baltimore, MD. She opted for further customization to achieve the vision she had for her dream wedding dress, which turned out to be a lengthy and complicated process. Her dress was complemented with a pearl necklace and earring set from Pandora and a cuff bracelet from David Yurman.

Up close with the groom…

Brandon’s shopping experience was less stressful. He wore a custom peach suit from Ransom’s Boutique in Towson, MD. His soft tone suit was paired with hints of black, including black chunky loafers and a black Tory Burch belt. To include a silver accent on his loafers, he styled a silver Tory Burch buckle and a silver chain rope necklace.

What is your best memory from your wedding?
The entire wedding weekend was priceless because they had the opportunity to enjoy a vacation with family and friends. However, if they had to choose one specific moment, their favorite would be their entrance into the reception.
